Be a Part of the Solution
At Cornerstone NCT, we talk a lot about empowering Neighbors to become self-sustaining. But the truth is, no one is completely self-sustaining. We rely on each other to pitch in to accomplish a common goal, or to be the voice of encouragement that inspires us to persevere when times are tough. Our community is the reason we started this organization, and it’s also the reason we’re gaining momentum every day. Thanks to volunteers like you, we’re growing strong together — one Neighbor at a time.
If you would like to volunteer with us, please click the volunteer application button below (all ages). Once you complete the volunteer application and are 18 or older, you’ll receive an email from a 3rd party company to process your background check. 14 and under must volunteer with their parent/guardian.
If you're interested in volunteering, there are many ways to get involved! Some opportunities have sign-up links, while others do not. If you’d like to help with something that isn’t listed on one of the SignUp buttons, please email us at info@cornerstonenct.org to learn more.
Volunteer No-Show Policy
We’re so grateful for each and every volunteer who gives their time to serve our community. Your commitment makes a huge impact, and we truly couldn’t do this without you.
As we move into the busy summer season, we’re experiencing a growing number of volunteer no-shows. Because of that, we will begin enforcing our existing no-show policy to ensure we can continue to serve our neighbors well and make the best use of everyone's time.
Here’s how the policy works:
- A no-show is defined as either not showing up for your scheduled shift or canceling with less than 24 hours' notice.
- First no-show: A 30-day pause from signing up to volunteer.
- Second no-show: A 6-month pause from volunteering.
We understand that life happens and emergencies come up – if that’s the case, just reach out to us. But when someone doesn’t show up, it not only leaves a gap in our plans, it also takes a spot that could have gone to another willing volunteer.
We appreciate your understanding as we work to create a reliable and respectful experience for everyone involved.
